Google Officially Launches Its Cloud Storage Named Google Drive

After many years of leaks, rumors, hubbub and other familiar synonyms Google finally launched! its Cloud Storage Named “Google Drive”. On Tuesday 24/04/2012 Google Announced Launch of Google Drive in their Official blog. It is Cloud Storage Which is Provided by Google for Storing Files online.

This service will integrate with Google Docs and this will help us to access files from anywhere and can also edit, Share documents with colleagues. We can also share our files, videos and pictures on our Google Plus profile directly from the Drive storage.

We can create new documents, spreadsheets and presentations instantly and also we can Work together at the same time, on the same doc, and see changes as they appear. Say bye bye email attachments and Send a link from Drive in Gmail to everyone has the same file, same version—automatically.

Google Drive Supports more then 30 File Formats including HD video, PDF, Excel Sheets, Doc Files, Illustrator, Photoshop etc. We can even edit files on Drive without having any software for editing the file installed on our computer. If we want to Edit some Illustrator or a Photoshop File we can edit directly in Drive without software installed in our computer.

We can Install the Drive on one’s Mac, PC or Android phone / tablet, while an iOS version will be “available in the coming weeks. Google Drive Provides 5GB Cloud Space. While Others like Dropbox Provides 2GB Cloud Space, SkyDrive Provide 7GB of Cloud Space.

Google also Provides More Space then 5GB by Charging Some Amount. You can also upgrade your Storage Space to 25GB for $2.49/month, 100GB for $4.99/month or 1TB for $49.99/month. Also one more great feature, if you upgrade your account to a paid account, your Gmail account storage also expands to 25GB. The limit of file size upload is 1 GB in the Google Drive.
